Time, seems to be the theme for the day with me at least...

Another time…

Past times have come and gone,

Future times are yet to be,

Present is where we are here to see,

Few if any, wish to live in the present,

Dreaming of the future or the past,

Yes that is the way of me…

Living in the hear & now per the Buddha,

Is the only way to achieve in this life cycle,

True enlightenment, but as for me,

My mind wanders into the past, not so special sometimes,

Then it sneaks thru time into the future,

To dream of future happiness, I can see…

I am most assuredly sure; we all have dreams,

Both waking and sleeping, the time is there,

Just remember to allow for yourself,

What beauty and love the present does bring,

We have so much at this moment in time,

Do we need more in the future, or would it be a crime?

Ahhhhh,, Ed, me sweet... perhaps you see today as having a 'theme' but besides that, I'd say you are on a HOT streak... your visions in words are shaking me up.. so easy to relate to from way inside... your "guts" are showing and that's a GOOD thing, indeed! Wonderful, thinking stuff, dear heart! katy xox. (Please give "mother ocean" my fondest regards... sigh). xox.

Hi Ed....We cannot erase the past...sure
we can try to live in the present...positive
thinking...but the past will always haunt us.
See .... God forgot to put that delete button
on we have to live with all
the junk and garbage and sorrow of the past...
also with the great's just
because we are humans and not machines...I think
maybe Buddha had better come have a talk with me..
LOL...loved this thought provoking poem..floria

Ed, I try to learn from the past (my mistakes and the mistakes of others), live in the present, and look forward to the future. I'm a positive thinker. I prefer living in reality, and the here and now IS reality. The attitude one possesses in the present DOES affect the future. You are a Master philosopher and a person of intense meditation.
