For thirty pieces of silver Judas betrayed the man called Jesus. The govenor Pontius Pilate could find no fault with him. So he said, release him and let the people decide. Barabbas the murderer was the peoples' choice. Not the man Jesus who was scourged and mocked in front of many. Forced to wear a thorny crown, and dressed in a robe of purple, they mocked and spat at him bowing down. Forced to walk through the city, with a heavy cross to bear. Until he reached the place Golgotha. A nail in the cross, they sacrificed him there. In pain and suffering he died for you and I. On the third day he rose and ascended to heaven. Being the first risen, defeating death for mankind, giving eternal life instead. Now he sits at the right hand of God, awaiting the Father's call. When out of the clouds he will appear with a shout,to save and judge all.
