Pot-bellied biscuits
buttoned-down pies
this cookbook I bought
Is telling me lies.

Velveteen squash
with beer-battered butter
I'm preheating with every
word that I utter.

I'm not 'home on the range'
though I make a mean stew.
but octaves of eggplant?
1 patent leather shoe?

Formica potatoes
with cheesy prune soup
no wonder the blender's on strike
this is goop!

My 'doo-dads' are ready
but I'm wearing a frown.
OH, wait! Just a second!
the book's unside down!

(giggle) I must be going now... I have a stroganoff to build. xoxox.

Do you cook and live in Fort Stroganoff, Wisconsin?! I think I've been there! Right next to a cheese factory, I think.

Poets can make their own words, Katy, unside is just that, poetic license...works for me, the same way I read cookbooks, actually I don't. I have this one way to cook a few things, if it can't be cooked that way, well it will get cooked that way, and if it comes out okay, I will eat anything or Rufuz will...If it can't be microwaved, boiled or fried, I cannot cook it...Loved this one, more than a good write or read, a
great meal had by all...Rufuz and ed
