My Soliloquy

Questions I have asked myself, as a teenager suffering from a depression.

Why I wonder
Must I torment like this.
Why have I been condemned to hell?
What awful deeds have I done to deserve?
Talk to me damnit!
Do tell!

You ignore my pain
Yet you lack
Understanding of what I must
Live through as these days pass by
Or you wouldn't ignore
I trust.

Answer my cries
It's all I ask.
At the very least just listen.
Better now than later
Before my soul dies
Or am I just not a worthy Christian?

Great expression. Having had the diagnosis of clinical depression off and on for several years, I can relate.
