If an atheist can change our pledge of allegiance we should all just make up our own pledges?
Why does an atheist scream for God's help when they are in severe trouble?
Mr. California atheist, "taking God's name out of the pledge is just as dumb as my write is here."
Art by me.

I pledge billions of dollars to the flag of the United Pods of Mars
and unto the rich for which it stands

One nation under greed and self interest
with no food or shelter for our hungry
and where the innocent are guilty
and the guilty are set free.

I would be afraid to take God out of our pledge; knowing he could take our nation out of His heart, if he chose to do so. I agree with you Ron. Bill Murray

Fantastic write and sketch Ron!There are groups
that will use every effort and money they can raise
to get God out of every place and thing. Next in line is
money, "in god we trust" holidays, and any other place
that has the name of God/Jesus etc. They will eventually win
because 65% of the people in this country are ignorant and
let others (like the media)lead them like a bunch of lemmings
in what to do!

It espouses on one religion and the fact that it was not added earlier was an oversight. It has nothing to do with separation of church and state. Those that live in fear are chasing their own shadows.

Ron.. our Pledge of Allegiance was written in the mid-1800's and DID NOT SAY "under God"... those words were added in 1954 and okayed by Eisenhower during the USSR threat of communism... the communists forbid any worship of any god figure... When we scream about this country being FOR THE PEOPLE do we only mean those who go to church or who worship the god that we approve of? I am a believer in the Christian God, like you... but how can I demand the rights our forefathers gave to us if I don't demand them for everyone? Our country was founded on one principle: seperation of church and state... we now live in fear of a culture that attacks and kills us and many others IN THE NAME OF RELIGION! I, for one, DO NOT wish to become like them! This atheist man is right, in my opinion, because those words were never written into our pledge and his rights are as important as yours and mine. The pledge is about "country"... no about "religion"... Sigh... your poem is truly interesting and memorable... but, and please forgive my sounding harsh, but our survival as free people rests on this seperation... otherwise, we are no better than the enemies we face: DO AS I DO OR DIE! Yes, it's that serious! I mean no harm... you are a good friend, Ron. I hope you know that. Truth is truth. Thanks katy xox.

AMEN! I wish for once somebody could explain to me..how if there are more people in America that doesn't want it changed than there are that do want it changed...How come the minority count wins? Just cause the wheel is squeaking doesn't mean they have to donate the whole grease factory to it!
Okay I'll hush now...yep you found one of my many sore spots..Thank you Ron! Excellent rant here! Great art! Lisa
