Work Called

I guess one can consider this humorous, if it were you not getting paid on time, you would not, but for now, it is under humor...

Work Called…

Do they think I am nuts,

Answering the phone this early,

So they think I must,

Had for me an extra run,

Wanted me to start early,

Twelve hours per day,

Five days a week is apparently not enough…

Too tired I was to pick up the phone,

Twice they tried; maybe they just had a bone,

Later they can talk to me, on my way to the job,

For now I want my few hours to relax, no way can they rob,

Let them find someone else, I have done my share, no I don’t sob…

Funny when I am needed they don’t hesitate to call,

But when I am in need of my paycheck,

They send it out late, and it arrives later, forget a trip to the mall,

Nothing can be done, but complain, although it gets me nowhere,

They just keep their money in their account, excuses used to stall…
