Recently I recieved a negative comment on a "story" I had written that had no fact, not that I wrote it as such, but even negative comments can help in the long run...

Negative Comment…

An “uncertain” author passed on a negative comment to me of late,

I find that, in their point of view maybe I did not investigate,

The story was told, to the best of my knowledge, to titillate,

To make one fearful, as it was a ghost “story”, not a fact…

I have to say, I appreciate all comments/reviews, either good or bad,

Neither of which can ever, even if I think about it, make me sad,

As even negative comments have their place & may help me, even a tad,

I refuse, and mean no offense to my other reviewers, to remove that,

Because even a bad review can do nothing but help, as if it already had…

So to that “uncertain” author, that passed judgment on me so quickly,

I am not, although I have been told I am, more than quite sickly,

Usually making up poems with a humorous theme, usually a scream,

I greatly appreciate those that have come to my aid, with a ream,

Of the butt of the other “author” that gave me that negative comment, so mean…

I HESITATED TO COMENT BECAUSE I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT WENT ON AND YOU HAVE LOTS OF GOOD SUPPORT REVIEWS.I OFTEN WISH I GOT MORE REVIEWS OF ANY KIND. I LOOK AT MY STATS AND SEE A FAIR # BUT NOT MANY COMMENTS POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE. I AM JUST STARTING TO EXPLORE OTHER POETS. I DO LIKE THE HONEST CREATIVE WAY YOU EXPRESS YOUR SELF.

I am amazed at how well you are handling your negative criticism! You're a better man than I am (just joking--I really am a girl.) I am proud to call you "friend." A kind friend at that.

Honey, you do write so well. Don't let the negative comment from one spoil all of the good that you pass along in your stories..Everyone here at the den, really likes the stuff that u write. Even though, I have known you all of my life, I know that you are a good person with a big heart & a person whom I happen to love very much too, so by all means keep on writing.

Ok, Ed... I would hope that all of us here would appreciate constructive criticism.. welcome it, even. BUT... there is no place for unkind, rude remarks... there IS a difference. Write on, dear heart... and learn as you go, which we all do. You write from your heart and from your gut.. of that, there is no fault. Be well... katy xox.
