Pray for me--having problems with everything, it seems :(
|
why write when my words don't touch you at all i pour my words onto the page they don't adhere off cliffs they fall they lie in pieces disengaged why write
why write my words die a slow painful death they are already forgotten no one hears their last desperate breath crying from the depths most rotten why write
why write when they or i do not matter when we are just meaningless things my heart my words gone scattered dispersed by bitter raven's wings why write
why write
why write
why write
yeah, just as i thought no one cares

"Why write?"
Because God has given you a Gift, and if you give up on your writing, you are giving up on yourself and in HIM, and that is the LAST thing you would want to do! This poem made me cry; I am so sorry you are having such a rough time now. I wish things would get better for you; if there is ANYONE who deserves to be loved or be happy, it's YOU!!! I will be praying for you, and as you can see, so will many more; we all love you (me, more than most, 'cause I am your TWIN SISTER!! That has advantages! LOL) here, and the Den would be a MUCH sadder and darker place without you here! Please don't give up; you are much better than that! I am not giving up, and you shouldn't either! Write just for the pure enjoyment and release of it; so what if it doesn't bring you fame or glory! I have faith in you, and you should have faith in YOURSELF!!
Your day will come; I KNOW it is!!!! Just hang in there, and DON'T give up on yourself OR in your faith!! I love you too much!!!!
((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears < |

I have felt like this Karla...really
I have....none in my family are interested
in my writing...my one sister was my biggest
supporter and I lost her last summer...I have
said these same words...but.....the writer in
us just needs to put those words to paper..
You are surely appreciated by me and many
others here at the Den...(((hugs))) floria |

why write?
because unless we create we're indeed
meaningless things
dispersed by the bitter raven
at the last.
why write?
to defy the appearant
absurdity of human existance
why write?
because we can
and we must
hang in there kid!

| C'mon Karla, you write because you're a writer and you can't not write! Besides, you have grown into a true poet, and your artistic sensitivities are giving you doubts as they do all good writers. So you'll get through it and write even better;-) I love you, and your work! Blessings to you! |

Gotta try to think positive. First of all, MANY people care--you ARE loved. Don't give up on yourself--you are a gifted writer. Think of the good things in your life, just think about it. I remember when I was homeless--not homeless anymore. I remember when I was so sick I couldn't hold ANY job--got a good job now. There's a lot that I don't have, but compared to the way I used to be, I'm now a rich person. We live in America--we've got our freedom. That's a big something to be thankful for. Count your blessings, think of your cup half-full instead of half-empty. Force yourself to smile even if you don't feel like it--never know when someone is going to see your smile and smile back atcha. Read Norman Vincent Peale's "The Power of Positive Thinking." This book changed my whole life. I'm prayin' for ya and I bet everyone else is too. Attitude, a positive one, is everything. Keep right on writing--right out those negative feelings, but try to replace them with positive ones. Write something humorous even if you don't feel like it--poke fun at yourself. Hang in there, girl. I know you can do it.
Love, Susan |

karla, you have me near tears and...
why write?
BECAUSE it, it can help, sweet Karla...yes, it can...
do not let those 'bitter raven's wings' eat away at you...yes, people care...not always as we believe we need, but....THIS...and your note to me, Karla make me care...this poem cries out from that cliff and Please Hang On...I, well, I know this feeling, in my way...and You are in my thoughts, prayers and hopes ...
This is so...honest and more and I, well, all the above...
((((you))))
