I wish for a world full of peace, not war and strife

I wish for all living creatures, a much better life

I wish we could end poverty, spousal abuse, and greed

I wish we would only strive for the things that we need

I wish we could have sympathy for each of our neighbors

I wish that decent wages were paid for all of our labors

I wish we could find homes for all of the discarded strays

I wish we could provide every child with much happier days

I wish we could laugh daily, instead of drowning in tears

I wish we could conquer each and every one of our fears

I wish we could practice understanding, not bigotry and hate

I wish we could just stop pushing, and learn how to wait

I wish we could once again love and respect Mother Earth

I wish human hearts could replace their hatred with mirth

I wish we could return to a time when justice prevailed

I wish we could return to a place where heroes were hailed

But wishing, in real life, usually doesnít work out very well

Sitting around wishing, wonít bring heaven to our modern hell

Itís time we stood up, took action, and truly resolved to renew

Because just sitting around wishing, can make us quite blue

I wish for you Ed, long life,
I wish for you Ed, less strife,

I wish for you Ed, more fun,
I wish for you Ed, less guns,

I wish for you Ed, better laws,
I wish for you Ed, more paws,

But most of all, Ed, I wish for you,
To stay with us all to help those less fortunate,
For without philosophers like you, the world would be so unfortunate...

And excellent, as always write, Mr Kostro, sir, Peace thru Words, Ed & Rufuz

Wonderful declaration of honesty and dignity- I couldn't agree more. It all could easily be realized, if all people did care for our world like you. Unfortunately, there are massive powers (greed and others) in the way. Franz

You know the old saying: "If wishes were horses..."

These are admirable ones, Eddie, and well expressed. You
might find that the article I am posting today kind of fits
in with what you are talking about. And I wish you better days,
now and in the future.

O, Ed.. you've been hanging around in my head again, haven't you? When you write like this, when you make me stare at the screen, seeing my thoughts in your words, tears streaming down, I consider your "visit" into my brain a cause for celebration. I'm one of those who still believes wishes come true... and as a grownup, I understand how to make that happen. Yes! Let's do what we can... it makes NO sense to just give up. Knowing you're out there in the same world as I am brings a comfort I can't describe but can truly feel! Thank you, dear heart.. katy xox.

The trouble with us is, enough of us won't get together
and stand up for all your wonderful wishes. Probably for fear of
being protesters, and being jailed for wanting things done right.
If I never went and finished my jobs, then I could sit around and
wish for my pay to come in. Too many people keep looking for that
bag of money. Great write Ed. Have a great day, I don't wish you will,
I know you will.
Your friend.............Ron
