Saltaire is a workers' village built by Titus Salt in the nineteenth-century. Salts' Mill where the lads and lassies worked is now a museum of David Hockney art; Hockney is a Yorkshire lad.

SALTS MILL

Ah, woolly-minded me,
standing out like a chimney
among the poetry books
and David Hockney imagery

Your unique style has a way of capturing the reader's imagination, Kenny. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace,

Don't know how I missed this one before, but I love the way this is just "walloped" together, Joe. All that random imagery somehow assembled in the context, I feel, of a bookshop reminds me of a kind of Dr Dolittle experience. Bizarre but kind of obvious given the interweaving bits and pieces. Wish I could send you a photo of the llama we had visit OUR village a few years' ago - yup, strange but true! KB
