I know hurting,

And I know pain,

Know what it’s like,

To get out of bed,

And feel like,

You’ve been in combat.

I could take that hurt,

And use it for an excuse,

To throw myself,

A huge pity party,

But I have learned,

That no matter what I do,

Things aren’t just going to go away,

So I have learned to pray,

And smile through the pain.

Yes I may be in pain,

But despite that I am smilin anyway.

That's the only thing you can do, Michelle. When I am hurting, I try to go on as best as I possibly can, even though I may feel terrible or may be hurting someone; at times it feels as though a HUMMER has run over my body! OUCH! Love the attitude you are showing; it shows you are a strong person of character and courage!

Wonderful write! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn (who knows what it is like to live with pain every day!). :(

that's right you keep smiling no matter what. I really suck at glass half full. Be strong for both of us. :0
Great reflection.
