“but what I find so neat about them are the fact that it is a door that has been left ajar by the eyes of society...” Southern Horizons wrote this in one of my reviews and it spawned this poem.

Doors left open
People look inside
Peeking in to see
What’s on the other side

Some like what they see
Others like what they hear
Some even like both
Some even hold it dear

I try not to hide
Behind the door I left open
I try to let people see
Why I left it open

Sometimes I wish
My self-esteem was higher
Then I wouldn’t hide behind that door
That I left open

Wonderful poem. And the fact that it was inspired by a review makes it that much more special to me. Inspiration comes from many sources inside and outside. When one takes full advantage of them the results are spectacular.

"Doors"... - good meal for thoughts.

Keep posting and writing.

Never hide Melissa! Step out from behind that door and greet life with enthusiasm and smile like everybody is watching!
It always brightens my day when I've given inspiration! At the least I know I've contributed something towards somebody's life! Thank you Melissa! Lisa
