When writing about nothing, it is important to stay within the subject line, or the lack thereof, if that is the case...

Writing about Nothing,

Gotta be, oh yes, in the mood,

To write about nothing one has to be able to brood,

I write to keep myself from coming so unglued,

That I may fall apart or otherwise get sued…

Nothing, an excellent subject for an aspiring writer,

Herein I can wax poetic or philosophical without fear,

Of being exact, perfect or altogether clear,

Just as long as I am writing, my fingers near,

The keyboard, the pen, the paper, I can be of good cheer…

Taken to its extreme, writing on nothing can be totally fun,

I can write all about the sun, or to no one, in particular,

Also can I put in here a pun,

And write just about what I want, just prior to getting done…

I hope this short treatise has done some good,

Maybe having made a lesson, showing where I have stood,

No systematic conclusions regards this subject I do reach,

But don’t throw it away as of yet, it may still do something, if nothing else, teach…

So tell me dear friends of the writer’s caste,

Did this make sense, did I make my point, if a point I was herein trying to make?

Writing about Nothing seems for me the way to go, as my head is also filled,

With so much nothingness that my brain has plenty of room to stretch its thoughts,

To the ultimate end of their neurons to expand, with little inability to spread further, so grand…

sense, nonsense... does it really matter? sometimes you just gotta get the juices flowing by writing lots about little or nothing. Kudos, Ed.
