I must leave you...
I must leave you...
Alas! Hearts are broken,
panic sets in...
Oh! How I hate to go,
hearts pounding
inside of my head…
You hold my heart
in your hand
and the blood stained
tears, ran
down your face
I must leave you...
Alas! Hearts are fiery,
like shooting stars
flaming out
in the night…
Oh! They burn in the
midnight air
This love is not to be...
Alas! You are near me,
and our hearts burn,
yearn to love
Oh! Why must I go…
You are so alive
and beautiful
I look upon you...
Alas! You are sleeping,
and the midnight
tolls for us
I kiss you in the moonlight
Oh! We hold so tight
to dream...
I awake and find...
you gone
Alas! I love you,
and my heart is broken
pounding in my head
I long to touch you...
Alas! Sweet youth, it’s you,
you shall prevail…
and only dreaming am I
young and satiated
I must leave
Oh! If only you knew...
This love must end...
Alas! Our hearts beat,
beat together
in our embrace…
We kiss and it’s forever
And what happens...
Oh! I awaken and find
you’re not there
Alas! it’s only a dream
I only hold your illusion
I must leave you...
Oh! In this waking hour
at sunrise
I don’t want to go
Please return to me
I am close by...
Alas! I have to go
I have chose another
a long time ago…
Oh! What love is true ?
I can’t walk away,
Can I?
yet I must leave you...

Dreams can be so much more beauiful and wonderful than reality. There are times that we would love to stay in the dream. Maybe that's why we write poetry and books. I love the way you expressed this special feeling.
