An inspiration

Can arrive

Quite unexpectedly

At any moment

Of the day or night

While you are catnapping

Driving in your car

Strolling through the park

Or staring into space

You should never

Attempt to hinder it

Or quell its impassioned desire

To be released

And to express itself fully

Even though

At first glance

Its initial attempts

May seem like

A complete waste of time

Utter folly

Or even sheer madness

With deft patience

And understanding

You may often

Be quite surprised

At inspirationís final form

Many a masterpiece

Both artistic and written

Has resulted from

Quite an odd assortment

Of meager

And unbelievable beginnings

straight to the heart of the matter... I had an odd inspiration this morning when a glowing moon still hung in the daylit sky. I followed the thoughts blindly for a time and arrived at the most amazing place. I love the creative life! great expression of it here.

I'm always writing things down as they occur to me - even if they make no sense. Quite often my writings are borne of reading old scribblings and making sense of them. Excellent write

This is so true. You never know where something is going to lead, if you take an idea an just follow through on it. This can apply to any creative effort, not just art.

Thank you, Ed, for reading my mind and relating them as I would... "utter folly" should never be dismissed and time is never wasted if we treasure life... regret nothing, own yourself, and carry on... I love this piece... it truly speaks to me. katy xox.
