The ground beneath my weary feet,
Is cold and gray and bares no heat.
I live for the night, I live for the day
That my soul gets carried far, far, away.

On wings of angels through the sky,
The wind carries us higher as we fly.
No words spoken, no rules made
As we drift up higher, the Earth does fade.

Oh how wonderful it would be,
To move on to a calmer sea.
This bitter world is foul and gray
Have people here forgot to pray?

When life on earth comes to a halt,
Will you lie or admit your fault?
I ask you as you sit and pray,
Will your soul be carried away?

Prayerful verses, Lisa. I think you have a typo in the second stanza (first verse); you probably mean "angels." Nice poem. Love and peace. Regis

Wonderful poem. I really like the emphasis on prayer. It is an awesome privilege that we should always use and value...
