My veins bleed the red
Living fluid of my heart
The grape vines
Nourishes the sweetness
Of the red wine
The rose bud waits
To blossom
Exposing the loveliness
Of a red rose
Cut open my heart
Within my breast
There dwells
A Yellow Rose
I've chosen for my crest.

Great poem. I particularly liked the last line. However, the title led me to this one. I was thinking you might write about the Yellow Rose of Texas with the new ALAMO film coming out and all. Great poem.
