Shadow Angel In Disguise

She is a stranger to all
Walking alone
In the shadow of death
A child angel without wings..
Wondering ...
Does God care?
Does he feel her
sadness
loneliness
anger
despair
Does it even matter..
He has deserted
her again.
She is the dirt
of this earth..
As he intended
her to be..
Born into this
shadow of death...
Born into pain
Born to suffer alone
Abandoned by God..
Abandoned by all..
Misplaced..
Disgraced..
Not meant to be..
So she walks with the
shadow of death..
Hand and hand
Because she knows..
He does not hear
Does not see..
She is but one small
speck of nothingness..
Not worthy
of compassion..
Just one of many
forgotten angels..
Screaming
Prayers and pleas..
Her body and spirit
so tired..
Her voice
Now gone..
No longer
does she pray
She has finally
realized
she was a
mistake..
Never to belong
in this world..
Just a girl..
Not worthy of...
Love
Family
A kind look
A soft touch..
She pretends
she is a real angel..
Flying through blue skies..
Knowing in her heart
she is simply an angel
in disguise.

She may, indeed, be "Born into this shadow of death... Born into pain...", but she need not remain there. She IS worthy. A most painful write - one that I understand all too clearly. Blessed Be.

A thousand hugs,
Tami

This is great unfortunately there are so many people in this world that feel that type of dispair and isolate them selves from the world. Wonderful write

I think I had read this poem before. I liked this then, and I still like it now. "Angel In Disguise" is a work of art.

Happy Easter to you!
