Peace Through Poetry…

Peace, not achieved through firepower,

Although the powers that be seem to believe this, we cower…

Peace, never have we had it, this earth,

Never will we, as long as we remain terse…

Peace, Can it be achieved through poetry,

Yes I mean, for all intents and purposes, through verse…

Peace, through poetry, means no guns, no knives, no weapons, of any kind,

We would thereby fight our wars, with the pen, the paper, the mind…

Peace, can we see that day, can we believe in that day, I am sorry to have to say.

while I have this thought, so wonderful it is, but in reality, no way!
