Return Me To Light

A drop of melon upon your lips,
A kiss that's soft and true .
A feeling warm, a gentle glow,
I've found a friend in you.
You came and took my hand in yours
and touched away my tears.
It's strange how people change so much...
Your eyes reflect the tears
that love has placed within your soul.
I sing a song of peace within,
A melody, sweet tune; a song - of sunshine,
flowers, grass and trees...
Of the air caressing, putting at ease
all the things that twist within,
That swirl as a whirlpool within a strong wind.
And rainbows I see beyond; shining
up over the mountains.
You search for the treasure that
they say is hidden there.
I came upon a small pool,
water reflecting my soul;
coming through as myself in a mirror
looking back at me...
Seeing things I like to see.
A fleece of golden, soft as you touching me.
I can see you, want to touch you -
hold you close to me.
