A poem for America
and how shall that begin?
A song before her dying breath
when Freedom is the sin

Will she wake up from her trance
of ancient mysteries self-induced,
and finally pull her head out
from gods neatly woven noose?

The religious or the socialists
Im not sure who kills more
The Founding Fathers would fight and cry
"America, the Whore!"

All the gleam and promise
all the young and rosy cheeks
She is the place where intelligence
and passion highest meet

But as her twisted adolescence
is coming to a close
she has no more excuses
for her academics' prose
For they, they are the fence-sitters
the grey souls with no spine
professing that Enlightenment
means anything but Mind

The conservatives are right
in that we need ourselves a rudder
But its not god, faith, or family moron;
did you hear me studder?

If Her playful sparkling innocence
is to ever have a future
Each child, each mind, and each generation
with Objectivism nurture

No longer underground, dear world,
as tragic freaks forced to hide
Objectivists push impatiently
this deadly mess aside

America is not a corpse just yet
but Her pulse is fading fast
Transition to a government of laws not men
or she'll fall with the pearls she casts

We demand it, we'll have it before its gone
this perfection of which I speak
The time has come, the time is ours
their time was up last week

If that doesn't wake up a sleeping mind, bury it for its dead. Beautiful!

The poem was very well written. I vehemently disagree with the message, but I guess that doesn't matter. Solomon must have sent this link out. I know he agrees with it.

Are you blind and deaf? Perhaps "america" be a part of a whole world, that you're forgetting? America doesn't exist without the "world" culture, as every country, and your folk. We live in the earth, no more geopolitics division anymore.

For being new at writing poetry you do a wonderful job. Your mind seems clear and focused. I'm sure you could write more. Plus, I'm always here if you need help.
