Rahkyt
Yeah
And so I
Walked out my house
To get a pack of
American spirits
And a liz blizz
I was
All about my biz
The sun was setting
On a red and gold summerís eve
The breeze was strolling through
Languid city streets
Then suddenly
The world changed
That second is forever framed
Dividing one time from the next
One life from its death
It was weird it
Changed my life
In precise light
I so meant to be
The man I was supposed to be
But that time never came
Until that moment
Then nothing was the same
Now I know what Pac meant
Lord please ease this pain
My soul is lost
My mentalís gentle grasp upon reality
Has been tossed
Into a chaotic sea
And the only way through this strife
Is a new view on life
So now I fall on bended knee
Arms offered high
To the lord of serenity
And now Iím free

PEOPLE GET READY

Lioness
I awoke this morning
Hung-over on my yesterdays
Crushed from the weight of
My unemployed state
Bills piling up leaving me stressed
And irate
I continued to contemplate
All the problems this world creates
For me plus
Plus love done left me
Hopeless again
Insecure without someoneís
Attention and affection
I sighed and shut my eyes to
Return to peaceful dreams
Where things can at least be
The way i want them to be but
Suddenly before
I could drift away
A familiar harmony
Interrupted the selfish absorption
Openin up the curtains i saw
Birds singin on my window pane
Echoing a melody that
My spirit knew
Cuz it was weaved within me
From the beginning
When God softly
Spoke my soul into being
Singing along my hurt it soothed
Until the sun rose up and i was hit by the truth
Itís not about me at all but
God itís all about you
Change had to come for my purpose
To be revealed
And now
I been found
In comfort in peace and in love...
In Him

PEOPLE GET READY

Lioness
Somethin's gotta give
To make
Room for compassion
To build
Rahkyt
Someone's gotta take
To relate
To the sight of God's sword
And shield
Lioness
Simpler living
Ainít so easy
In this world
That values material gain
Rahkyt
Losin' our minds
To the daily grind
We call on high
With tearful eyes
Lioness
God commands the rhythm
For our movements
And hearts to beat
Rahkyt
This life's pleasures
And pain
Ain't nothin' but
A spiritual refrain
Lioness
The heart of worship
Is complete submission
To his sufficiency
Rahkyt
God loves without regret
In hearts and minds
His mark is set
Lioness
Planted on earth
In transition
To translate his vision
To wandering eyes
Rahkyt
Open in wonder
Our vision expands
And we see
Eternity

This is "Different" with a capitol "D"....
The rythym alone carries one along...trancelike.
Good job of transmitting strong emotions.
I kind of felt this way when I wrote "Spring Storm,"
a couple days ago.
