Written following the death of a very good friend.

Realizing it's the last time
I'll see him, goodbyes are teary;
His final journey lies ahead,
He faces it with courage,
knowing his destination
assures peace.
Grateful for the privilege
of having known him,
my heart sets like the sun
as his young arms
fold around me, and
a last breeze brushes my ear:
"May God bless."
Little does he know, He already has.
