arrows seem to fly from many directions
to bleed your heart on their marble alter
chaining your wings to their feet of suffering
while they  snarl behind their prayer beads.

with silent strength crystals explode in your blood
in the shadows of gold you’ve always been loved
through depth and wisdom you advance the lesson
and know to be careful of their prayer ribbons.

the fortunate few should feel the connection
be vibrant within your iridescent rainbow
if only they’d allow their minds let go
and resolve to see your beauty.

but life on earth so roguish and rough
forges the armor and wields the sword
labels insane for those who would grow
into rapturous freedom, and glowing of love.

i have nothing deep to say,
just touching hearts this windy day
seeking shelter from bitter rain
and sharing glimpses of softer kisses.
