Every smile
that she kept..
Every touch she
held back..
Her very soul
under attack..
by her own inability to react
to life..
To look beyond the here and now..
To catch a glimpse of hope ..
somehow.
To hold it in a secret place..
But she throws hope away
in her haste ..
to escape..
reality.
Time is up..
Remember..
Remember she tried her best..
There was nothing left..
of her heart..
to give.
Now she wonders..
If she had one more chance..
Would she choose
to live.
