While thinking about how we sometimes allow anger to jeopardize our health, I was inspired to write this poem. |
|
"HEALING"
To silence the turmoil,
to quell the rage,
that chips away
at the very core
of your soul,
rendering you
BITTER and UNFORGIVING:
Stop
whatever you are doing.
Take an introspection
to see how you contribute
to the situation.
Inhale
as you ponder
the ideal situation,
but don’t linger in denial.
Exhale
and release the expectations.
You can’t fix
what's beyond your control.
The more you delude yourself
in thinking you can change
the way someone thinks or feels,
the more obstinate
that person will become.
So let it go
because there's no sense
in prolonging the aggravation.
Besides,
the sooner you face reality,
the sooner you'll have
a new outlook on life,
which will facilitate
a positive change!
Please note:
To get a better understanding of the importance of forgiveness, please read your Bible scriptures?
Matthew chapter 6: verses 9-15, tells us that our Creator, Jehovah will forgive us based on our ability to forgive others.
And, Matthew 18: 21-22 tells us how many times Jesus says we should be willing to forgive someone who trespasses against us.

A lot of power and wisdom and this poem. The trick I think is to stand back from a situation long enough to see it objectively and better comprehend what it may be doing to you. Thanks for the post.
