Safe Place

It's been a very long time carrying this inside
Long years of comfort tinged with confusion is settled
The absolute security of having a full shine is more direct today
Inside ... there is a haven where you dwell

My safe place

Here where we never guess
Where there is no judgement
No one enters and chaos is never allowed
Not where the spirit of this lover and the soul of her heart reigns
Where we always begin to shine and never pale
In here... in this white hot core ...

This haven

We have our dreams... our way

 Infinity seems real
There are no doubts nor repenting and regrets
Here we have taller years
We make better use of time
Our thoughts have credence
Being accountable to one another is ...
Most important
Ethics is more than a word
Here we admit to immortality
We live and hold to every morsel that's positive

Time is tasted

Here values are treasured
Our sorrows are outlived
Tender caresses of faith ... shine
In this haven...our safe place

safety is a wonderful thing but if we live too long with its domain, it can become obsolete and leave us without motivation ...

Susan...the poem and the picture are beautiful and meaningful to me.
That "core" where our deepest reveries are stored, is priceless.
You portrayed it well, although I would suggest eliminating the last
2 words of the poem, as they seem superfluous, and must have meaning
only for the reader who is 'the other half.'
