Memories..A mist that lingers in the corners of our minds
Fractions of pasts we cannot leave behind
Shadows that dwell amongst our dreams
Like a wind that breezes inadvertently through our conscious streams.

They are of bits and pieces of a puzzle in haze
Where some do fit and are treasured to the hilt
Some are kept, and some are lost
So as not to remember the pain they cause.

As I lay pondering beneath the moonlit’s groove
Pieces of what’s been starts to flurry in
Of you, me..
And things that has been.

I cannot deny the torment that lay within
Each time I feel that beckoning
Of your unrequited loves heart yearning
Of the phantom of a man carried by the wind.

Scorned has he of your spirit and your dreams
Left with promises..Of broken vows and whims
Pains unimaginably still a clutching
As you lie alone among the thorns and rotting leaves.

A thousand leaves came withering each fall
Still you carry the image of the phantom that you long for
Believing one day he’ll return from the bog
To fulfill a promise.. Well, you know only in dreams.

I have lost touch for years of the once withering rose
Never did I realize that she has changed her hues
Gone are her anguish, hopelessness and uncertainty
Now stands the proud wanderer that I once have seen

Truly am I happy that it came to be..

Now in my solitude amidst the reckoning..
Stars up above though seem at grasp
Seems to represent of all my fond and bitter past
So, I picked one that shine most so splendidly
My once exquisitely charming little rose..that was you.


You my little rose stands only now as a pigmet of  once thy dreams
Along with those intimate feelings within the dim lit four corners of lovers' den
For they will forever be treasured haunting memories..
Of your once.. Phantom in the wind.
