You are 4235 miles (6816 km) (3680 nautical miles)
Itís night there and here.
Weíve already kissed goodnight
in our special way.
I can sense youíve drifted off to sleep,
where the two of us are walking hand in hand,
in your nightly dreams.
I know this, because
you are right now in my day dreams.
With my eyes open, I look out into space.
Seeing you halfway under the covers
I run my hand down your back,
feeling the softness of your skin.
Your warmth radiates up towards me
as I slide in by your side.
Resting my face on your shoulder,
I breath in deeply, just loving your scent;
parfum de l'homme.
Your breaths are slow and gentle.
All your muscles relaxed, at ease.
I pull in closer for a sleepy embrace
when the dog jumps up on the bed,
worming his way between us.
Smiling now, I can see it all
as Iím sipping tea on the sofa,
4235 miles away.

|Interesting, mindful write. Although humans are often spiritually connected in dream or thought, we still miss each other. Franz|

|Nicely done. Dreams are capable of bridging the distance of many miles. Of course, dogs have a special way of breaking that up.|
