This poem is about, refusing to give up even when you are overburdened with fear and doubt.
It is often said, "Only the strong
Survive," and weak I've never been.
But fighting back sometimes it seems,
As if I will never win.
It has been said, "In order to appreicate,
The house of joy, we must stand in the,
House of sorrow. Oh, how I know what,
It means to feel sorrow.
It has been said, "If someone closes the,
Front door, enter around the back."
I even know what it means to travel,
Down life's lonesome paths, afraid to
It has been said, "Prayer without faith,
Is dead," and I've tried hard not to let,
My faith fade, but sometimes my heart,
Speaks lies to my foolish head.
Hardship and troubles, coupled with,
Doubt, is a hard pill to stomach when it,
When it seems as if there is no way out!
But though it all, I've kept my hand in the,
Master's Hand, even when I knew my,
Faith was smaller than, a gain of sand.

|Life is tough most of the time, one way or another. The lucky ones have money and can cushion the impact of catastrophe, but even they aren't always lucky. Come visit my webpages dedicated to the victims of genocide in Africa. You'll find the url on my poem, "Death Stalks Across Africa (2)".
