Gosh, it seems like we've only just started
7 hours?! all the rest have departed?
I still have more slides
Of these dresses for brides
Am I boring you?

Yes, my trip was a wondrous success
You MUST let me tell you the rest
Why, I've only begun
It's JUST quarter past one!
Am I boring you?

Is it hot enough for you today?
But they say we'll have T-storms tomorrow
This reminds me of when
It was one hundred ten!
Am I boring you?

Why of course not, how could you think that?
Im terribly sorry for snoring!
Perhaps if I nap
You could do one more lap
Dont be silly. (Oh, god, but she's boring!).

So funny! I think I had a conversation (one-sided) with that same person, Katy. I read it as though you were the one bored--definately NOT the boring one.

Your poem reminds me of when I lived in a studio apartment and worked the rotating shifts. When one of my wife's friends stayed long enough to cut into my sleep schedule, I'd start taking off shoes. If that didn't work, I'd pull down the bed. If that didn't work ---. Real friends know how to take hints.

well.....yeah! (just kidding)
Katy your last verse reminds me of a series of
cartoons that one of the famous old magazines used to carry(perhaps Colliers I don't remember which one). It was called xhadow Talk. do you remember those? It would show a person doing or saying one thing, but their shadow would be doing what they really meant. They were once my favorites.

Never a bore dear Katy
If I were to sail the seven seas,
I would want you as my matey,
All the way to the time I become eighty,
And become over weight & ugly, yes weighty,
Never will you bore me, dear Katy...

Now I just wish I could get your poems in email again, guess I will just have to track you by guessing...Peace thru Humor, Ed & Rufuz
