Leaves of rust-red exuberance
and white barked trees standing
placid in the mist, tall pines
focusing earth's slant back
toward the enduring sun,
and God murmuring ceaselessly
in all the things He has become . . .

Some one walks slowly among the drifting
petals, the warm breezes, life
scurrying into dark sanctuaries,
the pumping of blood,
the outward look of wonder and fear.

Time is my predator,
but I am no longer here . . .

Creation mumurs ceaselessly, if only we'd listen. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that time is relative. (Only some days, I tend to forget. Guess I need a few more lessons.)

A most thought provoking piece, Kevin. Thanks.

this one too. your images are vivid, which is not something your poems lack, but i can see it more focused here.
