Jesus Christ by virtue of his birth was a Jew,
He grew up and became a “Christiano”.
Scripture says, “Only the Son knows the Father and only the Father knows the Son”.
If it is true for God, is it also true for us, a human?
Some children are planned and some others are not,
But they grew and go their separate ways, like it or not.
In my ignorance I considered them only as a split of my own personality,
So how in “tarnation” did they become so different from me?
I am an “Old Testament father”,
Obey my laws and do not alter.
Little did I realize that this “New Testament generation”.
I was consigning to rebellion and oblivion.
“My sons, my sons” I would say,
“Why have you forsaken me?”
“We respect, honor, and love you.” is evermore their constant reply.
“Love and understanding,” They pleaded, “Please do not deny”.
I hearken back to my youth,
When old is passť I oftentimes thought.
While old virtues as a golden rule is remembered, preserved, and obeyed
New ways, manners, behavior and new fangled things are also explored.
Live and let live we shall compromise,
As you too will be parents I surmise.
Father, Mother, Sons, Daughters, and even grandchildren I allow,
Should live together in love and peace forever, STARTING NOW!
