Baby I miss you,
I haven't heard from you in days
And it is driving me insane.
My mind is set on you
Though you're not even mine.

Sun sets at the end of yet another day,
As I light the candles in my room
So peaceful, so quiet.
But you are not around.

I find myself staring
At the soft, burning flames,
The beautiful light it creates...
And all I still see is you.

I see you... and when I see you,
I see your smile
I see it right in front of me;
You kissing me, as you have done before

Slowly my room gets darker,
Going deeper into the night
The light of the candles become so intimate,
As I want to feel you close.

Clustered feelings I have for you
An endless story it seems,
But what can I say,
When all I think of is you.
My endless thoughts it seems represent my feelings for you.

I miss you when you're happy
That smile and those eyes light up
When you hear your favourite song.
I can't help but look and admire you
It is you smile though I cannot get past,
You got me enchanted and I guess now I am all yours.

I cannot keep you though, as you're not mine
Just like my candles create a shadow in my room,
You are that shadow, that I always look for from afar.

This is sad...filled with so much longing. Missing anyone is so difficult...yet missing someone we know can never truly be ours might be even worse. The last line is great..."You are that shadow"...really like that!
