No more will we exist, nor will the earth we love so. Burned to the core from the outside - in...

Air Burst…

In New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC,

An air-burst of nuclear proportions did level each,

In NJ, the south end, we live with the fact we are fenced in,

By the pall of radioactive atmospheric conditions,

About to rain down upon us with acid rain, enough to burn flesh,

Those that have not died in the first attack; will melt due to searing flesh,

No place to run, no place to hide, just better make nice with your maker,

Even if you never did believe, this is the time to accept and make regrets…

The sky a burning red, while the ocean is all but dead,

No fish did survive; the radioactive run off, from NYC so they said,

Life as we know it, no longer an option, no cars, walking instead,

Electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) the culprit, no electronics, all seeing red,

Yes we might as well as be from the beginning most dead…

The nuclear pall, a smoke, a fog, a cloud of destructive particles,

Descending on us like a shroud, man lived so long and so proud,

No more Mother Nature, all is destroyed, man can’t fix this one said aloud,

People dying from the inside – out, killed because of nuclear war, don’t pout,

We hope this will not happen, but one terrorist with an atomic edge,

Will be like to this world, our earth, someone did take a sledge…

Fear Not Ed, the king is on his throne, and he isnt about to let one of his renegade subjects blow up his creation.

When he is ready to clean up the mess we made here, atomic bombs will be the least of our worries.

Take care Ed, Woof to Rufuz

I agree with J. Allen, truly reminiscent of Revelations. Apocolypse may be coming sooner than we think. And you're right, there will be no where to hide.

Ed, I really like this more serious side you are showing. Your writing brings to mind the apocalyptic predictions found in the book of Revelations. Give it a read sometime, when you have time, and if you have already done so, then give it another spin and you will see what I mean. I enjoyed this write Ed.
