I am sorry for your loss.

There is a shining moment
when golden sunlight
parts the curtains,
streams laughing into my room
and tickles awake
my eyes--

There is a shining moment
when golden sunlight
gently caresses
the sleep from my eyes,
just as my husband would
Such bliss--

This peaceful, shining moment
before hard, cold reality
slams me with the memories
of what happened...
when you were taken from
my life--

This gentle, golden light
reaches in, soothes my soul,
warming up a frozen heart,
stirring the blood to life...
Let me lie here forever
in gold.

This is beautiful Karla, a most befitting tribute, to a courageous woman, who lost an extraordinary Man/Husband.
He was a Good President, and a darn funny character too, will be missed.

Love Ch'erie

Beautiful visual and sentiments here, Karla and a very empathetic write. How we can all relate in some shape or form, I am sure. You have described that fleeting moment so accurately, but somehow, in that moment, kindred spirits seemed forever locked together between two worlds. How sweet of you to consider Nancy's grief at this time of national and international remembrance of a public life and figure. Bless you. Kate xx
