Vacant Mask
Have you ever felt such heartache, complete and utter desolation, wounded and battered feelings, hidden behind a vacant mask?
So much pain you hide, and hold so deep within, words are but a vehicle, that emotions travel in. This is only but a notion, that barely brushes upon the skin, tattooed, ingrained, and scorched within your soul- is an everlasting message, and emotions uncontrolled. Tears of acid raindrops, burn and sear the mind, rolling to the foothills, of this our tragic start. Love was all consuming, elations rode on high swept away with gusto, I held nothing back, gave so freely so willingly, all this love I had, believing it would be nurtured, reciprocated love ! In a brief encounter, we met across elusive time, I fell in love, but lost it all, now feeling like a clown.
Painted smile is how I'll greet you, do you know the pain I feel? Rejection comes completely, to this heart that will not heal.

"Vacant Mask" flows the emotions and depicts the feelings duly poemized and sublimely poetized on the cadence of the sounds of passion. It is flower from the garden of humanity scented with the aroma of sublimity.

| "...we met across ellusive time..." Very nice imagery here, Elga. Wonderful flow. MOving tone. Haven't we all played the clown? Deeply wounded hearts given in earnest take much time to mend; but scars do remain. This piece really grips the reader. Worthy of repeat reads! |
