i sat down to think
to have my 2nd drink
tryin' not to shrink
tryin' not to blink
hopin' not to stink
just wanted a 2nd drink

i use a plastic cup
so i said "what's up"
when my 2nd drink
began to pour all over me
i knew i had to think
real fast
that 2nd drink
was runnin' all over me
i knew it wouldn't last
soon it would be past

"what's up?"
with this plastic cup
there was a hole
i didn't see
there in my my cup
it be
it tweren't there before
what a bore
an open door
that was not there before
pourin' on me
but that was before
the 2nd drink i think

i had to think
i knew that drink wouldn't last
soon it would be past
on me
that one was for surin'
it be all over me

man, did i stink
havin' that drink
all over me
i had to think
'bout what it was
pourin' over me

it was only
my 2nd drink
i was lonely
lost my 1 & only
i had to think
'bout how thing's be
with a hole in my cup

had to jump
had to fly
had to say good bye
to that old cup
'cause what was up
was a hole

had to jump
up & find
a new cup
one that was kind
there to my mind
with no hole
a cup of like kind

kinda' like me
if you can see
how it be
with a hole in your cup
with a hole in your soul
a hole in your whole
hey, "what's up"
new cup?

you gotta' leak
give me a peak
don't sneak
i already found
a hole in my cup
a hole in my whole
a hole in my soul
"so what's up?"
new cup

you be there for me
without a leak
just give me a peak

a peak at the leak
in your life

a cup
with no hole
best you can be
is a new cup
that's whole

be wise
give it up
livin' & given'
with that hole in your cup

so what's up
do you know
when your cup
has a hole?
there in their whole
in their soul

my cup had a hole
there in it
my whole
as a hole in it

so what do you think?
do i take another drink?

not with the same old cup.
i do know what's up.

Sounds as if your cup runeth "under", so to speak. I would have drank my drink out of the whole hole, then got a new cup, by the time you go to another cup with this poem your drink went out to make you stink...

Sorry bro, I was outside putting a new battery into the motorhome, the old one froze solid last winter and wouldn't take a charge to start the old wreck this summer, now I just leave it on charge all the time and start it bi-weekly all year, I hope!?

As always I enjoy these crazy writes from a Doctorate in English, or is it in Texas English...keep flying that Rebel flag, I would and I live in the north, LOL! Peace, Ed & rufuz (hooooowwwwwwllllll)
