an old pillow case
with some lace

i found it tonight
there in my bed

reminded me
of the love that we had

don't konw which pillow
nor will i evere wll kmow

just the pillow case
with some lace

i found in my face
there in my face
a trace
of what we once had

guess it made me sad
that old pillow case
there with your smell
in my face
ain't no way to tell
how long that smell
been there

but tonight
it was there
a sint a sight
an old pillow case
a memory
i can't erase

Steve, Oh versatile poet. This poem is as tantalising as the pillowcase...its scent to linger on in memory. Real love is so powerful it often cannot be erased but remains an intrinsic part of who we are. I have loved deeply and completely 3 times in my life and these 3 are inextricably part of who I am. Memory cannot be erased, but new memory can be created. We need to grasp it and be open to love again...
Thanks great poet
