This is one of my favorites. It describes Native American belief in Spirit guidance and the power in visions.

I stretch out my arms
And become one with a bald eagle.
His mind becomes mine.
His eyesight becomes mine.
He spreads powerful wings,
And together, we soar.

I look at my hands
And become one with a polar bear.
His mind becomes mine.
His claws become mine.
He catches a seal,
And together, we eat.

I raise my voice
And become one with an arctic wolf.
His mind becomes mine.
His sadness becomes mine.
He looks to the moon,
And together, we howl.

I smell the sea
And become one with a beluga whale.
His mind becomes mine.
His size becomes mine.
He rules the waters
And together, we sing.

I see an igloo
And become one with an Inuk.
His mind becomes mine.
His family becomes mine.
He talks as a friend,
I find out we're brothers.

I look to the sky
And become one with the Northern Lights.
Their beauty becomes mine.
Their energy becomes mine.
They invite me to join in their celebration
And together, we dance.

It's funny because when i saw the picture at the start of this, i felt like your last verse before reading it! Great job getting across your feelings so well. I love the Native American idea of a spirit guide, and it is interesting to hear what animal people feel a kinship with, that would make a great poetry challenge, to write about the animal you feel most connected to in spirit.
