After a picture perfect day yesterday, I go to sleep last night to have one of my scariest nightmares...what causes that?

Why Do We Have Nightmares…?

Yesterday was idyllic,

A kid I was again with custard to lick,

Had BBQ for dinner, nothing different from the norm,

Slept thru the night, but a nightmare I did have, just before the morn…

Inner city lost was I, scared to hell, couldn’t show it,

Rufuz kept running away, wanting to stay it seemed,

With junkyard dogs, didn’t realize how it was did he at that scene,

Had to get out of the city by dark, no weapon a defense,

Fear by the locals, of my “colored” skin, the situation tense…

Awoke with fear, had to adjust to my surroundings again so weird,

Still after a half hour I find myself to be feeling the same fear,

Can’t get it out of my head, just trying to figure out why & where,

It is one of my worst nightmares, this one being quite severe,

But do not worry as the day wears on I will find myself more cheered…

I know my two major fears in life,

Are, one, that of being locked up,

And two, that of being lost,

So the second is the reason for the dream,

But again why do we have them in the first place,

Could it have been the ice cream…?

Too much meat yeah!!

That BBQ overdid it and did not save me a piece...really they say who ever that was if you eat too much meat nightmares will haunt you!!

Nope...Ice Cream doesn't do that...
It was the jalapenos in your beer, that you drank
as a chaser.
I laughed til I choked, at Scott Zachary's comment!!!

I think you licked too much custard.
It's not just coincidence or folklore-
That it rhymes with mustard;
Perhaps you can't cut it anymore.

After all, you're obviously no spring chicken after turning half a century old. The next thing that will be affected is your willy wacker. You might want to cut it off and preserve it before it withers and falls off.

Sounds Apocalyptic to me, Ed; End of the World stuff.

Or, it's just the ice cream (I love adding drama to everything!)

Either way, hope you don't have to go through it again.

Nope..barbeque!! It'll get ya every time! Perhaps the misssion you're on still has a way to go before you are free. Dreams have a way of leading us to that plateau I think. You'll be okay! just walk after a meal like that before retiring.
