A light poem reflecting on things lost but remembered lovingly. |

Today I give a lovingly sigh,
in fond rememberances of days gone by.
Summer once again touches us with a grace,
yet because of my years
I have lost my fast pace.
When I was a child I did like to fly
my kite, it was up there like birds,
and like planes in the sky.
And I climbed many a peak,
that was very steep.
Though today I am not swift on my feet,
and my hearing isn't too complete,
but this I must say,
I still long for a warm Summer's day.

actually, this summer has been cooler than average--only one 100 degree day--normal is 15
i'm not complaining, mind you LOL
this evoked pleasant memories from my past--very well written--thanks
