Of many thoughts...

This says it all when I have a thought to write.

I run from the shower with a thought in mind
Wondering if I’ll get it down in time
I write of this, that and even more
Or while in between a daily chore.

I may be wet no time to dry
When a thought strikes I need to fly
Or from my mind it soon will flee
And then there goes the best of me.

It may be witty or a romance
I don’t want to lose it I take no chance
And run from the shower soaking wet
Hoping time I still get.

(I run from the shower
No towel in hand
With thoughts in my head
You must understand)

And when I’m done running to and fro
The shower sometimes I do forgo
And words to paper I shall write
Hoping I got it all down right.

Usually I locate a broken pencil or a pen that skips and that "once in a liftime" thought quickly gets doubled clicked to the recycle bin of the brain. Great write which many of us can relate to!..

(Maybe even Martha Stewart keeps big fluffy thirsty towels in strategic locations about her home just in case she comes up with a way to make meatloaf glow in the dark.)

Best Wishes & Take Care,

Excellent, I've done this myself - and my lovely spouse and pets think I'm absolutely nuts when they see me streaking by. But one has to do what one has to do!

I think you've penned the thoughts of many. Too bad the human brain doesn't have a floppy drive.

Fawn,
I know they sell pens that write under water but I don't think they solved the paper situation yet.

I can relate to this. I usually have my voice activated recorder close at hand.
