All Freckles & a short skirt

All Freckles & a short skirt

She sure was cute

her smile came my way

me with the silver beard

a touch of gray

I smiled back

as if to say

Ah, Sweet youth

my eyes looked long and hard

at those sexy legs

All Freckles & a short skirt

She sure was cute

her smile again

I laughed and looked away

rubbing my beard

as if the gray

would disappear

but knowing that’s the reason

she smiled that way

her bofriend, a little tubby

baby faced kid

me, the kid with lines of age

hard and lean

a touch of gray

smiling broadly

just watching her legs

cross and uncross

the skirt scooting up

her smile just too much

I’d have to fade

I ate my calzone

and walked away

All Freckles & a short skirt

she sure was cute

I knew it! There are men out there who'll just walk away! LOL. I love the way this poem flows, and it's really catchy.

Dear Dale,

Wonderful that you can appreciate
the freckles and a short skirt.
Different but great.

I've learned by by marrying a much older man (25 yrs older) that it took more stamina than he had to keep up with me. And after awhile there was a huge breach in our different interests: we became like very familiar strangers living in the same house. We divorced. I married a man more my age, and he went back to his first wife who was more his age. All's well that ends well. Don't try and erase the gray in your beard. It's one of the badges of aging that most women find very attractive. Good write! Michelle
