I am sure I will feel this way when I start at University next week...!

I tread this earth exposed

Completely incomplete
Omniscient of my ignorance
Omnipotently weak
Contributing my gifts of
helplessness and confusion
to a World Gone Mad:

Disguise passing for Reality
Lunacy masquerading as Received Wisdom
Dissolution dissembling as Government

Where People cease to exist
beneath multi-layered lies

* * * * * * * *

I do not understand
the ways of this world
with either of my two heads;
both Left and Right are Wrong!

Amoeboid Protozoa
drifting through Space,
my primitive unprotected flesh
finds no conjugation with
Homo Paranoid Android
armoured, anchored and fortified
with his complex configured programmes

* * * * * * * *

I will go back in time
from whence I've come
to a tiny miracle
of a blue-green planet
whose complex ordered natural life
was created to be
perfectly and harmonically
in balance...

It used to be real

And I thought I was

...Until I came here
and was proved

Science Fiction

All But Is An Illusion As Buddha Said-- Proof Read Your Message Board-

Nothing Is Real Only Contusion Out Of Fusion!

I think reality is our perception of ourselves, and what we dream ourselves to be. Sometimes that reality gets dark -- it does for me from time to time. How others see us... well, that's their reality, and nothing we can control. And so we do the best we can to hold on to the best and most positive thoughts about ourselves. I was touched by this very well written piece. It reflects my feelings at times, they way I question my very existence. And then it all goes back to God and His plan, and we have to let it go, and keep on going.

Excellent piece, Kate. Truly excellent -- worth pondering.

Sounds to me like you climbed up into your head and spent the afternoon gathering brilliance, Kate. Though not a cheery piece, it's a scrumptious meal for the reader, if said reader is interested in being blown away by some unique phrasing and some achingly fine poetry. Good luck with the school thing... if your approach is as deft as this writing, we'll be reading about your success in the papers! True creativity is on this page. katy xox.
