On extremists.

Faith might ease some suffering
But religion cannot rule
Extreme and harsh
the policies
of self-righteous fools

Universal consciousness
Codes of humanity
Now warped and twisted
tools for those
to gain the power they seek

Oppression, pain, and body-count
the causes justified
Blind followers
don't question
centuries of lies

"Blind followers don't question centuries of lies"- Powerful statement of a reality that boggles my mind. Well written straightforward poem.

Your work succeeds in exposing man‘s attempt to create a god. Enjoyed.
