On the Morrow...

Another new category for me,
While the weather here is less than sunny,
Yesterday I did get to see my wonderful honey...

On The Morrow…

Each day a new life,

Yesterdays forgotten,

Cut from memory with a knife,

The only way to live herein with a wife…

Each life a new day,

Hearing do we the birds sing and say,

Forget about the past, it is just that,

No worries we need have about the last…

Life does move on,

Tomorrow a new dawn,

Be it sunny or cloudy,

Rainy or dark, always say howdy,

Be happy, be bright, never withdrawn,

For life it does move onward and upward,

Treat it as such, and save for later, that yawn…

My own philosophy expressed in words. There must be a reason why I'm reading this today. Thanks Ed for an uplifting poem.

Good philosophy. Why drag up all those wonderful memories when you can enjoy the emotion of the day! The good news: She'll get over it. The bad news: When? ;-)

A very inspiring poem Ed, you hit the nail on the head with this, but like Robert said...its not easy sometimes...for in the reality, the past is what makes us who we are today.

Agree 100%. Especially on the howdy part.

This is a beautiful and inspiring poem, Ed. You wear it well. It is important to shed the past if we wish to move forward with a positive attitude. The past is just that, the past; we can do nothing to change it. We can, however, learn from it and enrich our today and our future. Very nice work!
Take care,

Aha! This is the most upbeat, positive, piece from you in a long time, maybe ever, Ed... If you ask me, the mention of seeing your 'honey' is the key... Ahhhhhhhh,,, ain't love grand? (smile) May the obvious joy you put into this beautifully expressed work take root and influence you , should gloom try to invade. This is so cool, my dear friend. katy xox.
