Change is a Constant

Change is a Constant…

Each day we grow older,

A bit of a change, we may grow colder,

Another bit of gray in our hair,

Our eyes not as astute, but that’s only fair…

We did have our young years,

When we could hear with new ears,

We could see without glasses,

We could drink and eat without being sick,

We could run a marathon winning it with a kick…

Everything does change, the seasons on the range,

Can be anything if not strange,

Our lives they do so everyday,

Losing and gaining we seem to do every way,

Constantly changing, the older we get the more we do weigh…

Yes, Ed, we change... I really do feel wiser... and every day is new. When I stop and actually think about it, I nearly collapse, knowing that my little head can hold all I wish to know, to learn. KNowing that, life is a constant adventure, every morning a new head start. Your poem made me think you know that too. Thanks. katy xox.

Great philosophy about weight gains and loss...

but what about the teenagers who gains weights? and the young anorexic who keep losing weights?...the weights keep changing regardless how old and how young you are.
