In this small town
Who knows where?
Meet me at the station
Who needs the bustle
Or the neon sheen
Of the city tonight?
Itís lonely I know
You have to break free
In spite of me
From this town
Where rain clouds gather
No more frowns
Maybe then my eyes
Wouldnít sting with heartbreak tears

In this small town
In mediocrity you drown
In this small town
Where nothing ever happens
Nothing ever happens
Except you

Oh itís lonely I know
Where the sun
Never seems to shine
And your face breaks into
The smile you know is fake
The young much too playful
The old just too miserable
You must break free
Donít worry about me
Iíll be waiting
On the other side
Of anywhere but here

And when you reach
Where you want to be
Youíll finally be free
Released from your fate
The lights may not be
Quite as bright
As you expected to see
Darker still a small town
Without a life
Without a pulse
Without a single heartbeat
Without you

In this small town
In mediocrity you drown
In this small town
Where nothing ever happens
Nothing ever happens
Except you

I liked it :) it would sound wonderful as a Curey-type song, perhaps you could try putting it to a melody?

I wonder where your insparation came from....
