In anticipation I wait for the first
snowfall
to appear at Xmas time
So to watch snowflakes flutter from above
sketching before us a beautiful design
Falling on rooftops and trees below
cascading on landscapes, all around
Giving a winter scenery fit for a card
as each flake falls upon the ground
Uptown and downtown, streetlights
sparkled
flashing on the windows of every store
Nearby a display of baby Jesus in a
manger
giving spectators a most glorious tour
Around the circle, the choirs will be singing
touching hearts and bringing much cheer
With carol's celebrating this wonderful
season
and happily rejoicing that it's now here
There are trees of all sizes fully decorated
Wreaths placed on doors here and there
Sleds filled with presents, gifts wrapped so pretty
you can feel Xmas in the air everywhere
Bells are ringing from nearby chapels
adding joy and delight
Filling our hearts with the spirit of
Xmas
making this season, to be bright
Somewhere chestnuts will be roasting on an open fire
and candy canes will be hanging in a row
These are some things that Xmas brings
to us
yet there is more than we will ever know
In the country side, horse drawn sleds will go by
and bobsleds will be going down hill
By boys and girls of all ages
Not even bothered by the winter's chill
as snowflakes descend outside our windows
it's always a beauty to behold
Giving such warmth of this Xmas season
leaving memories that will forever be told
go by
